Assessment Location & Fees
Please make sure that the crane has a valid inspection certificate, an up-to-date log book and the correct load charts. We will not be able to assess you if any of these are missing.

Each assessment takes on average 2 to 2 ½ hours to complete.

LOCATION
You may be assessed at the location of your choice on any crane appropriate for the class of certificate you are applying for.
The location where we will assess you must have enough obstruction free room around the crane to carry out assessment activities – enough space to lay down the boom for inspection and enough space to swing the boom through the full designed rotation. No power lines may be in the operating area.
There must also be a quiet, undisturbed space out of the weather available for you to answer the load chart and rigging part of the assessment.
PAYMENT
All fees are payable at the time of application. Appointments will be booked once payment has been received.
A separate assessment must be booked for each operator for each class of crane being assessed.
We charge a fee for all cancellations and rescheduling within 30 days of appointments. Travel for the assessors is booked 30 days in advance and our assessors are dispatched 10 days in advance of the assessment appointment.
We accept all credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) as well as business and personal cheques and money orders.
‡ HST is due on all assessments and re-assessments that take place from July 1st, 2010, onwards. Assessments that took place prior to July 1, 2010, will have the HST refunded and be charged GST only.
