Level A Assessment Locations

Cost of assessment includes assessor travel costs to all centres with regular scheduled flights in western and northern Canada (within 2 hours). For locations outside these areas, please contact our main office for an estimated travel quote.

LEVEL A – Full Scope Crane Operation

NOTE:
If you are a single crane operator paying for the application yourself, choose the INDIVIDUAL form. Otherwise, use the EMPLOYER application.
Application forms can be filled out on screen and submitted by email or printed and filled out by hand. If you are unable to access the forms, please contact our office.

LEVEL B – Trainee & Apprentice Crane Operators

NOTES:
1. Level B certification requires a successful result on the online BCACS Crane Core Theory Exam.
2. As of November 15, 2011, there is a $50 re-assessment fee for operators who are not successful on their first or second attempt on the online test and must re-attempt the online test.

Friction Lattice (conventional crane)
Hydraulic Lattice
Hydraulic – Unlimited tonnage
Hydraulic – 80 tonnes & under

BOOM TRUCKS

Stiff Boom – Unlimited tonnage
Stiff Boom – 40 tonnes & under
Folding Boom – Unlimited tonnage
Folding Boom – 22 tonnes & under (Knuckle Boom Crane ie HIAB)

TOWER CRANES

Tower Crane (includes luffing and track mounted cranes)

Crane Logbook

Worker's Compensation regulations require a crane equipment log book, or daily check sheet record, to be kept with the crane and accurately filled out each day the equipment is used. This log book is in addition to a vehicle log book required by commercial transport regulations.
